Apathy Over the Killing of Infants
By Alec Ott
A state law was recently passed that permits the killing of human infants. Rather than rising up in outrage and disgust, the country’s reaction to this unjust and immoral law was largely apathetic. This in spite of the indisputable fact that a fully formed, human infant who is still within her mother’s body can now be legally killed in New York. The governor of Virginia would even take it a step further — permitting the legal right to kill an unwanted infant immediately after birth. Again, there was little outrage over this horrible, evil viewpoint. Most were more concerned about a yearbook photo from a Halloween party over 30 years ago.
Shamed Writer-Director James Gunn Is Back For ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’ Are We Groot?
By Rhonda Robinson
Disney reinstating James Gunn as the writer-director of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 ignited a controversy reaching beyond the tarnishing of Disney’s brand. It sparks a question, to which the answer is a social-political barometer. Do we really want to trade redemption for social assassination?
How to Succeed without Really Trying
By Robert Arrington
Recently, on YouTube, I watched a stage performance of the musical, “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying”. One of my favorite scenes in the play is the one in which Ponty the window-washer worms his way into the Executive Suite by convincing the company president he is a Groundhog, i.e., a graduate of “Old Ivy”. Together, they sing the fight song, which exhorts the football team to “rip, rip, rip the Chipmunk off the field.”
Calling Harvey Weinstein a Pig May Be an Insult to Swine Everywhere, But…
… When He Walks Into a Courtroom He is You and Me
By David Churchill Barrow
There is an ongoing controversy upon the campus of Harvard University an a protest against Law Professor Ronald S. Sullivan Jr., an African-American jurist of renown, and Dean of the Winthrop House. Spray-Painted upon that house were DOWN WITH SULLIVAN!, OUR RAGE IS SELF DEFENSE, WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON! and YOUR SILENCE IS VIOLENCE.
Over 300 people have signed an online petition calling for his resignation as dean, and members of the Association of Black Harvard Women have addressed a public letter to him stating “You have failed us.” His sin? Agreeing to be part of the legal defense team of Harvey Weinstein.
Still an Idiot with a Machine Gun after All These Years
Great Moments in Chaos and Order, Part V
By Fred Tribuzzo
Paul Ehrlich is infamously attached to the notion that providing cheap fuel to the masses would be like giving an idiot a machine gun. The Left insists that idiot is still with us, primarily in the heartland where regular folks go about their lives with common sense appreciation for fossil fuels that power a standard of living never before seen in human history. In Ehrlich’s 1968 The Population Bomb, he predicted famine for America, starvation for millions before the unleashing of the 1970s Disco rage. Those of us remaining would be eating bark and stuffing old newspapers in our boots to stay warm from the sneaky, man-induced new ice age. Imagine, never to be thrilled on the dance floor by the bass drum clocking in at 120 beats per minute, anchoring the melodies of Boz Scaggs and the Bee Gees by thousands of lounge bands across the land.
Book Review: ‘To Be Men’
By Tamara Wilhite
The short story collection “To Be Men” was written to embody traditional values of courage, heroism, self-sacrifice and a father’s love that are too often derided in our society. The result of the editor’s work is an eclectic mix of stories by a number of authors.

Ohio Premiere of Controversial Pro-Police Play Needs Your Help!
By Robert Cooperman
Stage Right Theatrics, the country’s only conservative theatre company, is staging the Ohio premiere of Phelim McAleer’s controversial play Ferguson: Truth Matters. The production runs from July 13-15 at the Shedd Theatre in Columbus, Ohio.
Ferguson: Truth Matters dramatizes the actual grand jury testimony from the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9, 2014. All dialogue in the play is taken verbatim from the grand jury testimony of November 2014 and presents exactly what the grand jury heard, leading to the decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the death of Michael Brown.
The Fable of Sarah and the Little Red Hen
Or Peddling Chickenshit and Claiming It’s Chicken Salad
By Roy Griffis
Once upon a time a lady named Sarah wanted to go out to dinner. She decided to eat at the Little Red Hen’s restaurant. The Little Red Hen was staffed by the better, kinder, smarter sort of people who knew that Sarah was in league with Satan, and they told Sarah they didn’t want her to eat at their restaurant. Sarah quietly left.
The End
Choose Life: On Roseanne’s Racism, Samatha Bee’s Vulgarity, and Trainspotting’s Truth
Which is worse? A comedian calling a black woman an ape or a comedian calling a white woman a c—?
By David M. Swindle
In the wake of the cancellation of the rebooted Roseanne sitcom for its star’s tweet comparing Obama administration consigliere Valerie Jarrett to a character from Planet of the Apes, many of the show’s defenders employed one of today’s most common rhetorical weapons: whataboutism, a logical fallacy aptly described by Wikipedia and linked to Russian disinformation efforts throughout the 20th century.
Paging Jordan Peterson, Your Two-Minute Hate is Ready
Or: In The Future We’ll All Be Emmanuel Goldstein for 15 Minutes
By Roy Griffis
The latest target of the current authorized Two Minute Hate is Jordan Peterson, a Canadian academic (professor of psychology) and practicing clinical psychologist. One might ask “What has this rather geeky sounding Canuck, with his kind of Don Knotts on ‘roids affect, done to arouse the righteous wrath of the Left?”
