Allison Barrows

Allison created the comic strip, Preteena, and was offered a development contract from two major syndicates; Universal Press and Tribune Media – both on the same day! She went with Universal and her strip appeared in over 100 newspapers around the world for nine years. She is still represented by Universal and reruns of PreTeena appear on Uclick and Liberty Island. Two PreTeena compilation books – PreTeena, the Paperback, and It’s LIKE Like! Are available on her website www.allisonbarrows.com She co-wrote a musical based on the strip, Beauty and the Geek, which was performed on the professional stage in 2013.

Allison is also the author of the Goofyfoot Gurl graphic novel series (Thomas Nelson), and is currently collaborating with her husband on the J.H.Sanderson’s Roadhouse Sons graphic novel series. They were exhibitors at New York Comic Con in 2013 and Boston Comic Con in 2014 and will be at Boston Comic Con 2015.
