Allison Barrows is the creator of the syndicated comic strip PreTeena and the author/illustrator of numerous books. Her musical based on the strip, Beauty and the Geek, made its professional debut in May 2013.

My daughters in a nutshell...
I must have been under a rock while these little treasures were out there in paper land. Perhaps I needed to see them when I could appreciate the spot on humor. I have a two girls and this is them, only the younger one is the social butterfly / fashionista and the older one is the one who's into music and doesn't care about her clothes. I loved the strip!
