Crafting imaginary Valentine's cards from the true believers to the true deceivers.

Happy Valentine's Day!
"What difference does it make?!?"
None! We love you just because.
* * *
Maybe I just don't get it. I can't understand why thousands - no, MILLIONS - of people reduce themselves to being little more than banner carriers for total strangers who believe only in the notion of SELF.
You know who I'm talking about. The True Believers - the same character archetype so aptly dissected and examined in Eric Hoffer's book. Folks who would sooner die than say a cross word about a political hero. The inherently closed-minded and self-righteous. Many true believers are also capable of acknowledging fault in ideas or actions, but then defend their political heroes who have exhibited faulty logic or mistakes in action.
All that cognitive dissonance going on, justified by comments like, "Well, (insert random conservative / libertarian / Tea Party / et al) did the same thing this one time" and so on.
So all I can think is... what would a true believer's V-Day card to some political heroes look like? Maybe this:
"Dear Hillary,
Congratulations on being the first female president. Happy Valentine's Day. lol. My dog name is Bill. I make him sleep outside! lmao! O.K.
I have a very important question for you on this day. It is. This: what is your favorite color? Mine is blue, but I also like red. Or pink sometimes. It doesn't matter. I like your favorite color lol jk not really.
Can I have your autograph?
P.S. and some of your hair?
Love, always, no matter what (for realz lol),
Chris. xoxoxox"
All right. Your turn. GO!
