What is a rainbow? It is light refracted through the prism of water, so that it is no longer a blinding, indisernable jumble – its true and beautiful spectrum revealed. So it is with God’s covenant.  Man is made in His image, but all creation reflects and refracts Him, the true light. His shekinah glory would blind if not kill us, were we to lay eyes upon it (just glimpsing  the tail end of it nearly killed Moses and lit up his face) but through his creation we can see and understand Him, to the best of our pitiful limits.

Florida, where we live, is the lightning capitol of the world, especially in summer…. But at least we get the blessing of beautiful rainbows on an almost daily basis.
